Today's practical was AWESOME! Also, I can toss the food with frying pan without spillage now. :) It's so fun! hahahaha!! We made risotto, pasta and coq au vin. Risotto is an Italian traditional rice dish cooked with broth and flavored with parmesan cheese and other ingredients. While coq au vin is a french braise of chicken cooked with wine, mushrooms, and optionally garlic. First of all we made Risotto. Looks good huh. :) Then we made the pasta dough while waiting for others to finish using the stove. We're using electric stove now, unlike last time, but since we have limited power supply, there can be only 6 people working at a time. We left the risotto aside to cool it and made our pasta. kneaded the dough, then sliced it thin with the machine, then cooked it. Served it with cream. After we enjoyed our pasta, we made coq au vin. no pix as it's just like normal braised chicken. Lastly, we heated up the risotto with cream and butter and served the coq au vin along. Scrumptious~ As term 1 is coming to an end, there's practical test next week. We're going to make the food that we made today for the test. And theory test in the following week. Time flies very fast when we're having fun. :( Alright. that's all for today toodles~ |
